chickens in the city are great! i have some, i share the eggs with all my neighbors, all my neighbors are fine with the chickens, i have had them for 4 yrs.the are less noisy than my dogs, and my chickens do not smell, they are kept with a coop & run, which is kept clean. the are great pets.

We have a flock of 8 and they are free ranging during the day and come when they are called...so cute...they keep the bugs down and fertilize our yard at the same time....talk about going "GREEN".They lay wonderful fresh eggs that we share with friends and since I don't have a rooster the neighbors are just fine with it.There is no smell at all and they are great for getting rid of veggie scraps and other goodies we don't want......We love our "girls" and would be happy if others could share in the growing trend........

good flippin' grief, if you need to raise chickens move to the country and do what you want, but DO NOT put them in your backyard next to me or they won't be there when you get up!

As a kid, I had lots of chickens(contained in a large coop) and they were great. They provided hours of entertainment and we reaped the benefits of fresh eggs. If my neighborhood ordinances permitted it, I would have chickens again.

Chicken po op smells much better than cat po op, ESPECIALLY tom cat po op or urine.
