Raleigh council passes sewage, water fee increases

The Raleigh City Council on Tuesday voted to approve 2.69 percent increases in some water and sewer fees.

RALEIGH, N.C. — The Raleigh City Council on Tuesday voted to approve 2.69 percent increases in some water and sewer fees.

The changes include adjustments to nutrient reduction fees, utility acreage fees, acreage fee reimbursement, water meter installation charge, sewer main extension and sewer service connection inspection fees, and the tap fee schedule. 

The fees go into effect on July 1.
