— A former state employee is accusing the State Auditor Beth Wood of firing her because of her political affiliation.

Alanda Vance said Wood terminated her because she is a Republican.

A hearing on the complaint was held on Monday. It will continue on Tuesday.

Vance was let go in June 2009 after more than 22 years as a state employee.

Sad if true, but it probably is... if not in this specific case, certainly in many others.

I know. The State Patrol during Hunts years wanted an applicant t change from Republican too and he refused. He was an ideal candidate and was turned down. Cronyism at its best.

Politics at its finest! That stuff goes on to some degree all the time in state government and is not likely to change. Want to do something about it?? Vote her out but no guarantees with the next one.
