Posted August 25, 2010

— A former political candidate in Robeson County has been charged with voting early and voting often.

A grand jury indicted John Jackson, who ran for mayor of Fairmont, with voter fraud. Investigators said he voted for himself twice – once in early voting and once on election day.

Jackson faces less than a year in prison if he's convicted. He hasn't commented publicly on the case.

The media often will not mention party affiliation if the culprit is a Democrat. But if a Republican gets a parking ticket he gets the front page.
Of course, in the Dems world, voting twice is OK. You can even vote if you are dead.

tommys - thanks for pointing that out. But I had no doubt at all since it was omitted.

Of course they fail to mention he was a Democrat.
This is why we need poll watchers for the upcoming election.
