The Republican senator issued a statement condemning President Barack Obama for installing Dr. Donald Berwick as administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services while Congress was not in session.
Berwick, a Harvard University professor and patient care specialist, was nominated to the post on April 19, but senators have not scheduled a hearing to approve his appointment.
