RALEIGH, N.C. — The Federal Election Commission on Friday cited a Republican congressional candidate for failing to file a required finance report.

The campaign committee for Dr. Dan Eichenbaum, who is a candidate for the U.S. House seat in the 11th district, which is in the western part of the state, failed to file a required pre-primary campaign finance report.

No formal punishment was announced.

Eichenbaum will face the winner of Tuesday's primary between incumbent Heath Shuler and Aixa Wilson in the November general election.
