RALEIGH, N.C. — As part of an ongoing effort to increase transparency in government, North Carolina House Speaker Joe Hackney and Senate President Pro Tempore Marc Basnight have made it easier to see who they appoint to various boards and commissions.

The information is public, and now easily accessed through a direct link on the chambers’ Web sites.
