'Get Out of Our House' movement comes to Raleigh
GOOOH, a non-partisan group, made a push for political change Saturday evening in downtown Raleigh. The group wants to replace all 435 members in the U.S. House of Representatives.

The group wants to replace all 435 members of the U.S. House of Representatives, starting with the upcoming 2010 election.
Speakers said the GOOOH system does not favor a particular political party or career politicians, but wants to elect people who best represents their district.
Saturday's GOOOH meeting aimed to draw in prospective members by holding a mock candidate session, which demonstrated how citizens would directly participate in the selection of political candidates.
Tim Cox, the group's founder, also spoke at the session.
GOOOH needs 86,000 confirmed signatures to be listed as a third party on North Carolina ballots this fall.
Gaining status as a third party would get all of the group's candidates automatically listed on the ballot. Without that status, GOOOH candidates would have to do separate signature drives in each district.
