Posted February 11, 2010

— Congressional candidate Tim D'Annunzio held a fundraiser involving machine guns Thursday night.

D'Annunzio, a republican running for Congress in the 8th District, hosted the Machine Gun Social at Jim's Guns in Fayetteville.

For a $25 donation, participants shot MP-5s and Uzis. Additional magazines were $25 each.

For donations of at least $25, supporters had the chance to fire MP5 and Uzi machine guns at the shooting range

A semi-automatic rifle was one of the door prizes given out at the event.

Democrat Larry Kissell and Libertarian Thomas Hill are also running for the seat.

Guns and politics... a great combination! I'd vote for the guy just because of this event!
