Raleigh, N.C. — Harold Webb, chairman of the Wake County Board of Commissioners, was taken to Rex Hospital Tuesday afternoon after suffering a stroke.
He was in serious condition early Wednesday, according to Rex officials, but had been upgraded to fair condition by mid-afternoon.
Web was appointed to the Board of Commissioners in 2003 and was elected to four-year terms in 2004 and 2008, representing District 5 in east Raleigh. He was elected chairman of the board this year.
