Chapel Hill, N.C. — Former presidential candidate John Edwards will make his first public appearance in three months on Tuesday when he makes an address at Indiana University.
Edwards, a Chapel Hill resident and former U.S. senator from North Carolina, is scheduled to speak about the results of last week's elections. The talk is open to the public and will be followed by a question-and-answer session, officials said.
Edwards has stayed out of the public eye since early August, when he disclosed an extramarital affair with a woman hired to film videos for his unsuccessful run for the White House.

John Edwards’ dramatic Nov 2007 press conference announced that his wife Elizabeth’s dreaded breast cancer had returned, but that the couple decided he should press on. So sad that he used her like this, knowing full well he was still cheating on poor Elizabeth. Had the National Enquirer not been on top of this story, no telling what all else would be going on.
