Wake Commissioner Gardner ousted by Democrat

print friendly

Wake County Commissioner Kenn Gardner was ousted Tuesday by Democratic challenger Stan Norwalk.

The move could revise the balance of power on the board of commissioners, currently split evenly between Republicans and Democrats. The addition of Norwalk gives Democrats a 4-2 majority.

Norwalk held the lead over Gardner – 55 percent to 45 percent – with 96 percent of precincts reporting.

Democrats Harold Webb and Betty Lou Ward appeared to be en route to re-election.

Yes I guess the last massive increase was not a lesson learned for people. Last time Dems regained control of the County they jumped the taxes 10 percent in the first year. I wonder what the percentage will be this year? I see higher taxes and higher debt in our future in the County. Sadly, I also see more kids forced into a failing GOVERNMENT school system.

just means our property taxes will increase very soon

bwahahahahah.....the Real Estate lobby (Home builders and Realtors) again throw thousands of dollars behind a candidate to help them and not the public.

And again, the public is not fooled!

Congrats Stan and Marcia!
