Jacksonville, N.C. — Michelle Obama, wife of Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama, will host a community event with military families in Jacksonville, N.C. on Tuesday, campaign officials announced.
The event will be held at the Jacksonville Commons Recreation Center, 100 Recreation Lane. Doors will open at noon and the program begins at 1:30 p.m.
The free event is open to the public. No tickets will be required for entry but campaign officials urge people to RSVP online.
Michelle Obama’s visit is the same day Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin will attend a rally in Greenville. Palin will attend an event at East Carolina University.
Last month, Michelle Obama visited Charlotte and Greensboro.
