Obama returns to N.C. Monday
The Democratic nominee for president will appear Monday in Charlotte to talk about jobs and the economy, his campaign announced Friday.

The event, which is not open to the public, is the beginning of a week-long tour. The Democratic nominee for president will visit states that voted Republican in the last presidential election to emphasize his plans to improve the economy.
Monday's program at James Martin Middle School, 2800 IBM Drive in Charlotte, was scheduled to begin at 12:15 pm. The event is by-invitation only.
Other stops include Georgia, Virginia and Ohio.
Bush won 56 percent of the vote in North Carolina in both 2000 and 2004.
