Land transfer tax of 0.4 percent of the sale value of a property – Brunswick, Chatham, Gates, Henderson, Hoke, Macon, Moore, Pender, Polk, Swain and Union.

Local sales tax of 0.25 percent – Catawba, Columbus, Cumberland, Greene, Hertford, Lenoir, Martin, Pitt, Robeson, Sampson and Surry.
