Anticipation grows for Palin’s speech

A feverous energy is in the air in St. Paul as crowds anticipate Sarah Palin’s speech tonight accepting the vice presidential nomination.

Everything has picked up – vendors, protesters and security. You can’t walk 10 feet without seeing a police officer. Police in riot gear are setup to prevent problems and they have done a great job. When you enter the Xcel Energy Center you are in a different world – far removed from the outdoor protesters.

Gerald,

I respect you as a broadcaster---you really are great to watch. I don't however, understand why you keep mentioning protesters---the protesters get enough media coverage as it is. Can't the Republicans just enjoy the "pep rally" without you wanting to talk about the who's who of hate groups?
