ConAgra statement on plant explosion (June 9, 2009)

ConAgra Foods is responding to an incident at its Garner, N.C., facility, located at 4851 Jones Sausage Road. The company is cooperating with local authorities to determine the scope of the incident and the extent of any injuries, and is sending a team of experts from the company to the facility. Our first priority is the safety and health of our employees and the local community.
The facility is approximately 50,000 square feet and produces Slim Jim products. ConAgra Foods acquired the facility in 1998.
