Durham, N.C. — The Durham County Health Department will offer free immunizations for students in May.
A Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis) immunization booster is required for all sixth graders before the start of the school year.
Shots are available by appointment weekdays from 8:30 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 4 p.m. at the Human Services Building, at 414 E. Main St. The clinic is closed on the first Wednesday of every month.
Two additional, free immunization clinics will be held on May 3 and May 24 from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Durham Public Schools Staff Development Center, at 2107 Hillandale Road.
