Salvation Army ringing bells ... and the alarm
RALEIGH, N.C. — The Salvation Army will kick off its annual holiday bell-ringing fundraiser this Friday.

Raleigh Mayor Charles Meeker and Miss North Carolina Adrienne will attend a kickoff ceremony at noon in front of the Wake County Courthouse on Fayetteville Street in downtown Raleigh.

The Salvation Army is still looking for volunteers to ring the bells and man the kettles.

Money donated to the kettles funds the Salvation Army's charity work throughout the year.
