SPCA open Labor Day for adoptions

— The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals of Wake County is opening its doors this Labor Day to encourage animal adoptions.

Adoption fees for the holiday weekend include:

  • All dogs and puppies: $75
  • All cats and kittens: $30

The adoption fees include special needs medical attention, spay/neuter surgery, deworming, all basic vaccines and a microchip.

The SPCA shelter on Petfinder Lane in Raleigh is open Monday from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m.

    Sugarplum...why do you want a new home for your cat? YOU took on the responsibility and who declawed ? 9 years old who had him all this time???if it is You good words come to mind!...I just tookin 2 more kittens..had 2 year old ones and an older..NEVER WOULD GIVE THEM UP!

    I'd like to find a new home for my cat. Neutered, de-clawed, 9 yrs old. Gold color like the kittens pictured.

    A shelter pet is one of the best pets you can have. I have rescued several.
