NCCU earns honor from U.S. News & World Report

For the second consecutive year, U.S. News & World Report ranked North Carolina Central University as the top public historically black university in the nation.

In its annual listing of top 100 historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs), NCCU ranked 11th, but all the institutions ranked above NCCU are private schools.

    Now that really is pretty impressive because there are dozens of state supported HBCUs, many right here in NC! I guess we can't tell those flapping wings nothing now! lol
