Pet stamps raise awareness

Posted May 20, 2010

Animal lovers in Wake County can show their love when they mail a letter by using the new "Adopt a Shelter Pet" stamp.

The Raleigh postmaster presented the stamps Thursday at the Wake County Animal Shelter. They were unveiled by the United State Postal Service last month and are designed to raise awareness of the needs of animals in shelters.

Purchased a book of them this morning. The stamps feature animals adopted from shelters. Such a great cause.
