ROLESVILLE, N.C. — Mayor Frank Eagles is challenging Rolesville residents and fellow Wake County mayors to exercise to become heart healthy.

Eagles, who previously had open heart surgery, demonstrated his workout routine on Wednesday at the Granite Falls Swim and Athletic Club. He said he also walks local trails.

Eagles urged residents to “use the town’s parks and recreational facilities and help stimulate the local economy by using the local exercise businesses.”

“This challenge will help shed those extra pounds resulting from the holidays,” he said.
