Four wounded Fort Bragg soldiers and 15 spouses received full college scholarships to Colorado Technical University during an awards luncheon Wednesday at the Fort Bragg Officer's Club.

The Wounded Warrior Scholarship program, which is in its second year, is a partnership between the non-profit Yellow Ribbon Fund and CTU to offer educational assistance to wounded service men and women, or their spouses, as the soldiers recover from injuries and prepare for new careers.

According to the Department of Defense, more than 36,000 soldiers have been wounded in the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The Fort Bragg recipients are among the 25 wounded soldiers and 25 spouses of wounded soldiers nationwide receiving the scholarships this year.
