Raleigh, N.C. — The Triangle Walk to Cure Diabetes was held Saturday in Raleigh. It included a Patty Loveless concert, food, games, and other entertainment.
Between 8,000 to 10,000 walkers participated with preliminary estimates showing $1 million was raised.
The money will help fund Type 1 diabetes research through the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
