Wake libraries plan big book sale

— More than 300,000 books will be available at deep discounts during the 2009 Public Libraries’ book sale beginning Nov. 14.

The sale is open to the public at 1514 Garner Station Blvd. as follows:

Saturday, Nov. 14, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Sunday, Nov. 15, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Wednesday, Nov. 18, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Thursday, Nov. 19, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Friday, Nov. 20, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Saturday, Nov. 21, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Sunday, Nov. 22, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

During the first five days of the sale, hardcover books are $4 and paperbacks are $1. Saturday, Nov. 22 is half-price day. Hardcovers will sell for $2 and paperbacks for 50 cents. On the final day of the sale, books are $5 per box or $2 per bag.

Only cash and checks are acceptable for payment. Customers are encouraged to bring hand trucks and/or push carts to tansport their purchases.

    hey howdiditgettothis. Maybe you didn't notice this is a "Wake County" sale - not a sale for Raleigh Residents. Wake County extends well beyond the city limits of Raleigh. In fact, the site is right outside the city limits of Raleigh. Have a good day.

    Maybe you folks in Raleigh need to get out and see other parts of the Triangle!! I'm delighted that the sale is close to home. Fairgrounds is a great idea too.

    Wow - could they make the sale any further away for the folks in Raleigh?

    How about having it at the Fairgrounds next time?
