CARY, N.C. — Cary voters have new ways to question local candidates this election season. The NC Center for Voter Education announced plans Wednesday to allow residents to submit questions via video for the 2009 Cary Community Candidate Forum.

The forum will be held Sept. 15 in the Cary Town Council chambers and will feature candidates for town council and school board openings. It will play daily on the town’s government access channel, Cary TV 11, and on the town Web site from Sept. 18 through Election Day, Nov. 3.

Voters can submit written or video questions via e-mail to cary@ncvotered.com, or they can record their question during Cary’s Lazy Daze Arts and Crafts Festival on Aug. 22.

The forum manager will review, select and read questions to candidates during the forum.
