A natural gas company announced a program Wednesday to allow customers to help each other to pay energy bills.
Piedmont Natural Gas launched the Share the Warmth Roundup. Customers who participate can opt to round up their monthly bill with the extra money going to a fund to pay the bills of the needy.
Piedmont provides natural gas in more than half of North Carolina's counties.
