FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Two Fayetteville Technical Community College transfer students were recently awarded a $1,000 scholarship and laptop computer.

Stephen Keaney, director of community relations for the Greensboro law firm of Crumley Roberts, presented the checks and laptops to Alvely Zoumis and Fatos Fanaj last month.

Zoumis and Fanaj will begin studies at four-year universities this fall. Zoumis plans to attend Troy University to major in psychology, and Fanaj plans to attend UNC-Pembroke to major in political science.

The FTCC Transfer Program is designed for students who intend to continue their education beyond the community college by transferring to a four-year college or university to pursue a baccalaureate degree.
