CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — North Carolina ballet lovers have the chance to see some of the best this week.

Russia's Bolshoi Ballet is performing four times this week at Memorial Hall on the University of North Carolina campus. The dancers will perform "Don Quixote" on Thursday and "Swan Lake" on Saturday and Sunday.

“To say we are thrilled to finally have the company here is an understatement,” said Emil Kang, executive director for the arts at UNC-Chapel Hill and executive director of Carolina Performing Arts. “These performances represent a coup for both Carolina Performing Arts and the state of North Carolina.”

Chapel Hill is one of just three U.S. stops for the Bolshoi on this tour. The company already has performed in Berkeley, Calif., and heads to Washington, D.C., after its Chapel Hill visit.

The dancers will perform with the North Carolina Symphony.

A limited amount of tickets are still available for the performances. For more information or to purchase tickets, please visit Carolina Performing Arts.
