CARY, N.C. — A new animal adoption center is coming to Cary.

Palisades began in 2004 when 13 kittens and two mother cats were rescued from an area shelter. At first, Palisades focused only on cat and kitten adoptions. In 2007, the program expanded to include dog rescue.

Animals are often brought to Palisades from other shelters that use gas as a form of euthanasia.
