IRS offices across the state will provide basic tax preparation for people making less than $42,000 per year Saturday.
The event, called "Super Saturday," runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at these locations:
- Charlotte, 10715 David Taylor Drive
- Fayetteville, 225 Green Street
- Greensboro, 320 Federal Place
- Hickory, 115 Fifth Ave NW
- Raleigh, 4405 Bland Road
- Wilmington, 3340 Jaeckle Drive
IRS employees on Saturday will answer tax questions, accept payments and work out payment agreements for those struggling to pay.
Taxpayers seeking help are asked to bring:
- Social Security Cards and birth dates for individual, spouse and dependents
- Wage and earning statements from all employers
- Interest and dividend statements from banks
- A copy of last year's federal and state returns, if available
- Bank routing numbers and account numbers for direct deposit
- If applicable, amount paid for day care and the day care provider's tax
- identifying number (Social Security Number or business Employer Identification Number)
