Site SearchCharlotte, N.C. — A funeral is planned Friday for Saint Augustine College band director William E. Woods Sr. Woods died while on a trip with the college band to the CIAA basketball tournament in Charlotte.
Woods, who had been at the college since 2005, was also an assistant professor in the Department of Visual and Performing Arts.
His funeral will be held at 3 p.m. at Allen Chapel Baptist Church in Louisburg. A viewing will proceed the service and interment will follow at Allen Chapel cemetery. Expressions of sympathy should be sent to Richardson’s Funeral Home, 607 S. Main Street, Louisburg, NC 27549.
The college plans a memorial service for Woods on March 11 at noon in the Historic Chapel on campus.
