Raleigh, N.C. — Reedy Creek and Vandora Springs elementary schools were among dozens statewide honored for their safety Wednesday at a conference in Raleigh.
The 2009 Safe Schools and Character Education Conference was held at Raleigh's convention center.
School leaders and law enforcement officers who helped create safer learning environments were also recognized.
