Research Triangle Park, N.C. — The Humane Society and Proctor and Gamble have joined forces to recognize the research of Dr. Melvin E. Andersen, director of chemical safety sciences at The Hamner Institutes for Health Sciences in Research Triangle Park.
Anderson received a North American Alternative Award for his authorship of a June 2007 report calling for a shift away from testing chemicals on animals. He will receive a grant to further his research.
