Site SearchRaleigh, N.C. — GOLO, WRAL's online community, held a yard sale Saturday at the Eastgate Shell, 4043 Wake Forest Road in Raleigh.
The event raised money for members who have lost their jobs or are struggling financially. Other GOLO members donated items to sell.
Organizer Sandra Carrington-Smith said the yard sale raised about $500. The community hopes to hold a fundraiser every couple months.
