Chapel Hill, N.C. — Chapel Hill residents got a new exercise option Friday when the Homestead Aquatic Center at 300 Northern Park Drive officially opened.
The grand-opening celebration included a dedication ceremony, ribbon cutting and cake.
The 27,000-square-foot facility cost $6.5 million to build. It features a lap pool, warm water pool, locker rooms and public areas.
The aquatics center's hours are:
- 5:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. on weekdays
- 11:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Saturday
- 12:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Sunday
