Chatham Hill Winery in Morrisville is planning a series of public events through the month of February.

MORRISVILLE, N.C. — Chatham Hill Winery in Morrisville is planning a series of public events through the month of February.

On Valentine's Day, the winery is offering wines paired with chocolate from The Chocolate Lab. There are two sessions, 1-3 p.m. and 4-6 p.m. Cost is $25 per person.

International cuisine is on the menu on Feb. 17. Chef Warren Slate will serve an assortment of Spanish foods paired with six wines selected by Aris Ragouzeos. Cost is $42 per person. Reservations and pre-payment are required by Monday at noon. Call 919-380-7135.

Feb. 19 marks the winery's Thirsty Third Thursday. Wine and light fare are available from 6-9 p.m. No reservations are required.

Chatham Hill's wine education staff will lead blind tastings of Merlot Feb. 21 in the Winemaker’s Barrel Room at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Tasters will sample Chatham Hill Merlot from 2005 and 2006 along with comparable west coast vintages. Space is limited to 20 people per seating and the cost is $15.

On Feb. 28, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., samples of wine and cheese will be available in the Tasting Room Art Gallery. Staff members will explain the basics of wine and cheese pairing. Admission is $5 per person and includes a souvenir glass.
