Help us cover Krispy Kreme Challenge

Krispy Kreme Challenge on Jan. 26, 2008

More than 5,000 intrepid "athletes" will attempt Saturday's fifth annual Krispy Kreme Challenge in downtown Raleigh.

From a starting line at North Carolina State University's bell tower, participants run two miles to the Krispy Kreme at Peace and Person streets, consume a dozen of the shop's signature donuts, then run back to the start.

The $16 registration fee benefits the North Carolina Children's Hospital.

The tone of the event is evident in the costumed participants and the prominent mention of regurgitation on the event's Web site

WRAL.com will have a photographer at the Krispy Kreme Challenge on Saturday, and we encourage you to help us cover the chaos.

Submit your photos from the Krispy Kreme Challenge.
