Durham, N.C. — Capt. Morris Ray Taylor of the Durham Police Department recently completed the FBI's National Academy program.
During the 11-week training program Taylor studied Statement Analysis, Investigative Interviewing, Evidentiary Photography, Effective Writing, Legal Issues for Command-Level Officers and Fitness for Law Enforcement.
“This program provided me with advantages professionally and personally," Taylor said.
"I was able to do a lot of networking and the PT (physical training) classes gave me ideas about how to keep healthier as I get older,” he added.
Durham Police Chief Jose L. Lopez Sr., Deputy Chief B.J. Council, Assistant Chiefs Lee Russ, Steve Mihaich and Jim Bjurstrom and Capt. Ed Sarvis are also graduates of the academy.
