Fayetteville, N.C. — The Cumberland County Board of Education selected Tim Kinlaw interim superintendent.
Kinlaw replaces Bill Harrison, whom the governor tapped to be chairman of the State Board of Education and chief executive officer of the state's public school system.
Greg West, chairman of the board, said he and his colleagues hope to identify a permanent replacement by July 1.
