Raleigh, N.C. — For many people, Thanksgiving weekend is the time to buy that Christmas tree.
This year, Triangle residents have plenty of options.
In Raleigh, several tree farms have set up shop at the N.C. State Farmers Market. Thursday was the first day for sales, and crews reported few takers. They expect things to pick up by Friday.
Tree growers in the mountains hope lower gas prices mean more people will make the drive to cut their own trees this year.
