UNC legend sets flu shot example

Chapel Hill, N.C. — Legendary basketball coach Dean Smith led senior citizens in line for a flu shot at a clinic in Chapel Hill Thursday.

The coach joined N.C. State Health Director Leah Devlin to stress the importance of the flu vaccine for seniors.

If he is "looking for press" to encourage people to get flu shots, then more power to him! I, for one, think very highly of Coach Smith, as do many, many people across the state and nation. Obviously, anyone who would read this article does care, on some level, about what Coach Smith did -- or he or she wouldn't read the article!

Who gives a flying flip what Dean Smith does anymore? He's a retired whiny coach who is still looking for press...save us from the press's love affair with liberal "media darlings" We've had more than enuf of that man, and any more of his ilk.
