Ceremonies held to increase Alzheimer's awareness

Raleigh, N.C. — Ceremonies to raise awareness of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias were held across the state on Thursday.
Candlelight Reflections ceremonies included 71 seconds of silence to represent the fact the every 71 seconds someone is diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease.
The ceremonies also focused on the importance of caregivers.
