Durham, N.C. — The Durham Human Relations Department held a Spanish-speaking conference Saturday at the Community Family Life and Recreation Center at Lyon Park.
The program’s goal was to help Spanish-speaking residents understand their rights and responsibilities.
City leaders went over the consequences of driving while intoxicated and gave updates on immigration laws. Officials also discussed English as a second language programs and the housing market.
