The community, located south of Chapel Hill, has been designed with the environment in mind.
The mixed-use development, which includes schools, neighborhoods and parks, was built to “inhabit the land without inhibiting its true nature,” according to the development’s Web site.
Builders followed specific “green” requirements, including creating advanced erosion control and storm water management systems to preserve the natural habitat and ensure water quality.
