A gale warning won't delay the screening of a movie shot on the Outer Banks, promoters said.

“Nights in Rodanthe,” a romance based on a novel by New Bern author Nicholas Sparks, was shot on location in the Outer Banks and in Wilmington.

Some members of the community will enjoy an invitation-only a sneak peek at the film Wednesday night at RC Theaters in Kill Devil Hills.

It opens nationwide on Friday.

I've real all this books and seen all the movies too and can't wait for this one to come out. Don't forget the tissues!

I have read every book Nicholas Sparks has written and seen the movies. I am re-reading "Nights" now and I can't wait to see the movie. The books are clean, and his last 2, "Dear John" and "The Choice" have endings that surprised me. I pre-ordered his new one through Amazon a few months ago when I found out it would be out in October. Can't wait to read it!!!
