Your hard work, dedication and strength has paid off. Way to go!!
Our state troopers deserve better comments. In every organization there is a few bad apples, but don't tarnish the efforts and the work of all. Their job is to help our highways remain safe and come to the aid of those who can't seem to help but wanna make an issue of something that is worth noting. Any beef you may have isn't the issue here, it's the effort a good trooper that has been rewarded for her dedication and hard work. Congrats again.. more deserve to be rewarded for the job they do.

    Congratulations, Major!
I've got ALOT of respect for the NCSHP and the job they do.

Hondaman, I dont know what brought about your need to convey such a low opinion of the SHP, considering your statement "And by the way, I have never been stopped, never had a ticket so I have no bone to pick with law enforcement", but I will say this. Unfortunately, sometimes you have a few rotten apple or two in the barrel, but overall the SHP does an outstanding job for the amount of people they have & the salary they get.

I HAVE been stopped & even got a ticket or 2 over the years, but NEVER have I had any problems with a Trooper. It's like this: If you mind your manners, they'll mind theirs.

So how do you know, hondaman?

I've only had positive, professional interactions with the SHP.

Congratulations! Maybe in ten to twenty years the HP will regain the respect of the public. But for right here and now, their reputation is about the same as Durham. And by the way, I have never been stopped, never had a ticket so I have no bone to pick with law enforcement. There are always going to be people with poor judgment but the judgment of the higher ups was no better than the people they supervise.
