Durham community invites public to Hawaiian luau

The Edison Johnson Community Center plans to host a Hawaiian Luau next month, and the public is invited.

DURHAM, N.C. — The Edison Johnson Community Center plans to host a Hawaiian Luau next month, and the public is invited.

The luau will run from 4 to 6 p.m. on Sept. 6 at 500 W. Murray Ave.

Events will include Polynesian crafts, island games, a limbo contest, prizes, music, food and fun. The pool will be open for water activities
