— The Town of Cary will break ground for a park at 1420 Walnut Street at the corner of Lawrence Road on Thursday.

When complete, the park will comprise a playground, picnic area and a brick promenade designed by artist Barbara Grygutis of Tucson, Ariz.

“We have worked closely with our citizens to ensure the Walnut Street Park reflects the town’s continuous efforts to enhance the lives of Cary’s citizens through opportunities for enjoyable recreation," parks director Mary Henderson said.

I hope they oversized the parking lot spaces to handle all of Cary's SUV's. Overheard in Cary: "C'mon kids, lets all pile into the Hummer/Excursion/Yukon/Expedition, so we can go to the park and enjoy nature." Yep, enjoy it while you can.
